I love colours. I have always loved them. I created nature-, landscape- and urban photos in full colour for a long time. Quite often, I even overcoloured them to achieve a painterly effect. However, instead of realistic (or sometimes painterly) representation of what I could see, my observations and visual experiments got directed towards more abstract subjects and, to elaborate them, I found black and white photography an excellent tool. As a matter of course, it is quite possible to process abstract subjects in colour, just as it is quite possible to take jaunty pics in black and white. Still, I got captured by the power, expressiveness, as well as the abstract and thought-provoking nature of B&W. This is why I found it important to pack these photos in this collection, which showcases some of my B&W (and other monochrome) works, incorporating various themes & subjects.
